Wealdstone continued their pre-season campaign with a hard fought 3-2 win over newly promoted Zamaretto Division One side North
Greenford United on Monday evening. Whilst it was a much improved performance, particularly in the midfield areas there is still work to
be done defending from set pieces.
How much Stones Manager Gordon Bartlett learnt from this hard fought friendly match is uncertain but with the news that a further two
players have been signed the eventual starting eleven for the big kick off in two weeks time may be becoming a little clearer.

Aylesbury FC on Saturday.
Wednesday’s annual friendly between Wealdstone and local neighbours Watford saw manager Gordon Bartlett make 11 changes from Mondays defeat to Dag & Red, with the likes of Beagle, Locke, Ngoyi and Forbes, as well as new signings Burnell and Douglas coming into the side. The Watford side was made up mainly of reserve and academy players, after the first team played at Stevenage the night before.
Monday night saw the return of former Wealdstone player Graeme Montgomery to the St George’s stadium, whose appearance and performance in the second half would have made the watching Stones fans wish he was still wearing the Wealdstone blue and not the red and blue of Dag & Red.
Marvin McCoy has become the latest Wealdstone player to move from the Ryman League club into professional football following his move to Wycombe Wanderers today.
Following the amazing success of the 100:400 scheme last season supporters of Wealdstone FC have launched Task Force Ten to raise funds for season 2010/11. The success of 100:400 helped the club to retain a promising young team who reached the 1st Round Proper of the FA Cup and fell agonisingly short of the play offs and in an ever challenging financial environment this supporter led initiative is looking to give the club the best chance of success this season.
