In advance of tonight's home clash with Ashford Town (Middx), it is the turn of Supporters Club committee member and Assistant Club Shop Manager, Mark Randall to give his thoughts on footballing and Club Shop matters. His article will appear in tonight's matchday programme.
Good Evening everyone and welcome to the St George’s Stadium for our rearranged league game with Ashford Town (Middx). I hope all the supporters, players and officials have a good time and a safe journey (albeit a short one), home. I’ve sort of forgotten what our home looks like on a match day and I think that this run of bad weather can only be one person’s fault, mine. Every single home game for the last two and a half months which I have been able to attend has been called off but when I’m unavailable their on. Bad news folks I’m coming tonight! The reverse fixture over Christmas was fantastic for the neutral and overall the right result. Maybe our new signing from Ashford Adam Logie can give us some inside information? Can he score against his former club or does that only happen to ex Wealdstone players?
The club shop will be open for business again so why not pop in and get something. We are down to our last few copies of both the Aylesbury and Rotherham games so if you have not got one them you’re missing out. Adam has almost finished re sorting and cataloguing all the programmes and we have just moved past the 10,000 mark with a full list appearing on the website shortly (www.wfcsc.co.uk). We should still have a range of badged Umbro apparel including jackets, kid’s polo shirts and training tops.
I’m sure Miriam will update you all more in Saturday’s notes but I would like to thank everyone for attending the race night held on 20th. Your support is greatly appreciated and I hope we beat last year’s figure. These notes are not usually used for patting committee members on the back but I would like to thank Hillsy for all his work both in organising and running the evening.
Golden goals will be available, £1 a go and with a £50 prize for the correct timing of the first goal and £10 for the second there’s plenty of value to be had. Please see Miriam at the gate for you chance to win
Have a great evening everyone!
Mark
