Wealdstone continue to reshape their squad in preparation for the new Ryman Premier season that kicks off in three weeks time. The latest player to sign up for the Stones is 18 year old midfielder Kurtney Brooks following some impressive displays in friendlies.
Marvin McCoy has become the latest Wealdstone player to move from the Ryman League club into professional football following his move to Wycombe Wanderers today.
Wealdstone FC have again swooped to further strengthen their squad with the return of midfielder/striker Peter Dean from near neighbours
and Ryman Premier rivals Hendon FC.
Wealdstone have signed vastly experienced striker Scott Fitzgerald, 31, from Blue Square Conference Premier side Hayes and Yeading.
Fitzgerald started his career locally at Northwood FC before being signed by Championship side Watford in February 2003. He scored on his
professional debut in April 2003 in a 2–0 win over Sheffield United on the final day of the season.
Wealdstone have signed utility player Jon Douglas, 26, from Zamaretto Premier side Oxford City FC. The highly versatile 6' 2" Midlands man
has also seen service with Ilkeston Town and Kidderminister Harriers.
Wealdstone's 17 year old defender Reece Yorke has signed a one year professional contract with Barnet FC. Reece, an England School Boy
International had recently broken into the first team at Wealdstone but has been snapped up by Barnet.
Former Watford FC player Louis Lavers, 19, has been signed by Wealdstone and will further boost Gordon Bartlett's squad during the most heavily congested run in for many seasons.
Wealdstone FC received a further boost this week when agreement was reached with Championship side Watford FC to extend Billy Gibson's
loan period for a further month starting 13th January, 2010.
