Wealdstone 2 Hayes & Yeading United 0 (Sat, 31 Jan)

Match Reports
VANARAMA. CONFERENCE SOUTH, Saturday, 31 January 2015 Match Report By Jon Batham Wealdstone.         2 Hayes & Yeading 0 MATT BALL'S third league goal in as many games helped Wealdstone towards Conference South safety against fellow strugglers Hayes & Yeading. Ball struck immediately after half time and Jefferson Louis later added his first league goal for the club as they stretched their unbeaten league run to 11 games. A cautious start meant it was 28 minutes before Watford loanee Luke O'Nien produced the first on target for Stones. The hosts should have gone ahead two minutes later when Jefferson Louis' deft touch left Ball in the clear, but the midfielder delayed his shot and Calum Kitscha was smartly out to parry. Dean Inman put a dangerous cross from debutant Scott Davies out of harm's way, while O' Nien flashed an effort narrowly wide and…

Supporters Club Programme Notes – Hayes & Yeading United (Sat, 31 Jan)

Articles & Blogs
Supporters Club Programme Notes by Alan Palmer Good afternoon and a warm welcome to The Vale to all the players, officials and supporters from Hayes & Yeading Utd for today's game. Today will be the fourth time that the sides have met this season and its sure to be another close encounter as like Gordon Phil Babb looks to take his side to a position of mid table security in what is a very competitive league. The main talking point around the club at the moment is the Eastbourne equalizer last Saturday. Most people now accept that the ball somehow went through the side netting. Everyone will have their own take on it but goal or no goal we have to move on and ensure that we continue to build on our unbeaten…

Wealdstone 1 Hayes & Yeading United 2 (Mon, 26 Jan)

Match Reports
Match Report by Jon Batham Monday, 26 January 2015 Middlesex Senior Cup, Quarter-Final Wealdstone 1 Hayes & Yeading 2   JEFFERSON Louis endured mixed fortunes as Wealdstone waved goodbye to their last chance of silverware this season last night. The veteran striker had a first half effort chalked off, before scoring his first goal in a Stones' shirt, but later missed a sitter. The miss proved pivotal as within five minutes Hayes & Yeading had not only levelled, but gone on to score what would prove to be the winner.   With the two sides due to meet in a crucial league match on Saturday something of a phoney war might have been expected in terms of team selections. But despite four changes Stones fielded a strong team including Richard Jolly…

Eastbourne Borough 1 Wealdstone 1 (Sat, 24 Jan)

Match Reports
Match Report by Nick DuGard   It is perhaps a measure of Wealdstone’s continuing progressand expectations in their inaugural season within the tough and unforgiving surroundings of the Vanarama Conference South that they come away from such matches with the feeling that a single away point is a huge disappointment. As ever, and based on the excellent performance of Eastbourne Borough at The Vale in the league opener back in August, most would have accepted a point prior to kick-off, but circumstances dictated otherwise.    Stones impressive unbeaten league run extended to ten games after Saturdays clash at the tidy Priory Lane ground ,buteveryone present will know that the away side should havecollected a nailed on three points and even after that gut wrenching late leveller. Wealdstone largely dominated proceedings throughout and only in the second period eased the pressure off a frustrated home side that lacked ambitionand allowed Boro to…

Wealdstone 4 Chelmsford City 2 (Sat, 17 Jan)

Match Reports
Wealdstone 4 Chelmsford City 2   This highly entertaining contest was a tale of ecstasy for Wealdstone and absolute agony for Chelmsford City who somehow contrived to miss two absolute sitters in a frantic but exciting second period and they paid the full price with the rampant hosts going on to take full and merciless advantage.    Stones started brightly with two new players showing up well – Micky Corcoran signed from Ebbsfleet United andNathan Mavila on loan from West Ham United. And it was new boy Corcoran that opened the scoring with a well placed headed after Scott McGliesh had headed on Elliott Godfrey’s near post corner.    But after a period of dominance from the hosts, when a couple of chances didn’t find the target, a persistent and strong looking City equalised on 29 minutes in…

Articles & Blogs
Good Afternoon and a warm welcome to all the players, officials and supporters from Chelmsford City for today’s game. With both teams coming off the back of a 3-1 loss both have something to put right. I thought that today would be a good point to update you all on the megastores sales over Christmas. Every year I think to myself that we can not keep increasing sales. I mean surely you can only buy so many mugs right? Well, the good news is that our supporters are the most dedicated out there and with a little help from Raider-mania we have done it again. Now this piece is not about blowing trumpets or a desire to massage egos but in December alone we racked up £3000 worth of online…
