Wealdstone FC Marketing Update

Announcements
The latest Club Marketing up-date has been released by Ash Holding, the Marketing Manager Community Events Though the Club already has one of the highest attendances in the National League South and attendances have increased every season since our arrival at Grosvenor Vale, we are looking to further boost these crowd figures, through a number of events and promotions, which will continue to increase the awareness of the club in the local area. The Club continued its attendance at the Ruislip Manor Fun Day in July, for the first time co-ordinating the event with the Supporters Club, Youth, Ladies and Social clubs. The objectives on the day were to promote the club’s ‘One Club vision’, to increase awareness of the club’s presence in the local community, to add potential new fans to the club’s…

Basingstoke Town 1 Wealdstone 1 (Sat, 19 Sep 2015)

Match Reports
Match Report: Saturday, 19 September 2015: National League South: Basingstoke Town 1 Wealdstone 1 This match was billed as a must win game for struggling Wealdstone who were pitted against Vanarama National League South basement side Basingstoke Town on Saturday. In the event both Managers were left frustrated with less than satisfactory performances and a stalemated point was no more than each side deserved. After the game Stones Manager Gordon Bartlett vented his anger and frustration at his players display:  ‘I want to express publically how bitterly disappointed I am at what we saw this afternoon. The players have let themselves down and let our supporters down. That performance was completely unacceptable and I have left the players in no doubt about how I feel. We have to improve -…

Wealdstone 9 CB Hounslow United 0 (Tue, 15 Sep)

Match Reports
Match Report by Jon Batham: Tuesday, 15 September 2015: Middlesex Charity Cup: Wealdstone 9 CB Hounslow United 0   Wealdstone FC began their Middlesex Senior Charity Cup campaign in rampant style as they romped past Combined Counties League Division One side CB Hounslow United, who are three divisions below the Stones, 9-0 in the first round of the regional tournament, thanks to the contributions of first-half hat-trick hero Jefferson Louis and five-goal star Connor Calcutt.   Despite the contrasting starts the two teams have had this season, the gulf between divisions told from the outset of the game as the Stones dominated possession and had the wide majority of the attacking play, and created plenty of chances to open the scoring.   Eventually Wealdstone's dominance in the game was rewarded…

Wealdstone 0 Chelmsford City 0 (Sat, 12 Sep)

Match Reports
Match Report by Nick DuGard: Saturday, 12 September 2015: National League South: Wealdstone 0 Chelmsford City 0 ON a day when greats of Wealdstone's past were in attendance the class of 2015 lacked cutting edge in a dour goalless draw with Chelmsford. Stones' double winners of 1985 were wined and dined before the game and applauded onto the pitch before kick-off, but once the first whistle blew it was defenders who dominated amid little sign of champagne football. Moses Makasi curled a early effort into the hands of Jonathan North, but in an end-to-end first half it was the hosts who carried the greater threat. Elliott Godfrey's long-range effort forced a diving save from Christian Dibble, while the keeper was well positioned later in the half to hold another effort from the former…

Hayes & Yeading United 0 Wealdstone 0 (Sat, 5 Sep 2015)

Match Reports
Match Report: Saturday, 5 September 2015: National League South: Hayes & Yeading United 0 Wealdstone 0 Following Monday’s fine win at The Vale over Bishops Stortford expectations had inevitably been raised for this encounter at York Road, Maidenhead, where Hayes currently ground share. But football isn’t like that, each new game constitutes a huge and entirely different battle; the mental psychology of players change, and, most usually, inexplicably to the spectator. For the first 20 minutes of this Vanarama National League South encounter Stones picked up where they had left off and played some super following football with Scott Davies pulling all the right strings in the midfield. United were on the back foot as Stones pressed relentlessly forward using the width of the large pitch to excellent effect. Jefferson…
