Wealdstone 2 Bath City 0 (Sat, 21 November 2015)

Match Reports
Match Report by Nick Dugard: Saturday, 21 November 2015: National League South: Wealdstone 2 Bath City 0   On a bitterly cold afternoon and on a boggy pitch it was Wealdstone’s impressive work rate and defensive determination that saw them to victory over bogey side Bath City.   Stones injury problems continue to provide selection headaches for the management team with Wes Parker out for several weeks (calf) together with Micky Corcoran (Knee), Tom Cadmore (ankle) and midfielder Matty Harriott again failing a fitness test prior to kick off.    Both sides came into this clash on an indifferent run of form, but it was Stones that dramatically took the game by storm after only two minutes play. Matt Ball played a lovely inside pass to Scott Davies who powered into the box and was promptly bundled over.    Jefferson Louis…

Maidstone United 1 Wealdstone 0 (Tue, 17 Nov 2015)

Match Reports
Match Report by Nick DuGard: Tuesday, 17 November 2015: National League South: MaidstoneUnited 1 Wealdstone 0   Wealdstone were sunk at a windswept Gallagher Stadium on Tuesday night, worryingly their fourth defeat on the bounce, and as a result Stones drop to 18th in the league table and nudging the drop zone. Nevertheless, this was a much improved performance from Saturday’s turgid display at fellow strugglers St Albans City and against a better side but the season long problems of finding the net came back to haunt Stones once again. Wealdstone laudably and steadfastly refuse as a club to get sucked into a knee jerk ‘spend your way out of trouble’ policy. They will need to understand soon if they can realistically sustain a competitive side at National League level…

St. Albans City 1 Wealdstone 0 (Sat, 14 Nov 2015)

Match Reports
Match Report by Nick DuGard: Saturday, 14 November 2015: National League South: St Albans City 1 Wealdstone 0 Both sides came into this hugely important bottom of the table clash on the back of heavy FA Cup First Round Cup defeats and needing to face up to the reality of the absolute requirement of gaining National League South points as the artificial comfort of Cup media hype rapidly evaporates. Although Saints are currently in a more precarious position in the league than Stones, Wealdstone are in a far from comfortable status and despite their recent unbeaten run and games in hand this will mean nothing if a winning formula is not regained – and very quickly. The home side won a scrappy encounter played out in driving rain at Clarence…

Wealdstone 2 Colchester United 6 (Sat, 7 Nov 2015)

Match Reports
Match Report by Nick DuGard: Saturday, 7 November 2015: FA Cup 1st Round Wealdstone 2 Colchester United 6 Forget the result of this hugely absorbing FA Cup First Round Proper clash. Sometimes in football the enormity of the occasion has a life of its own and a spectacle such that it canalmost overshadow the football on the field of play.    Wealdstone had found themselves pitted against League One professionals Colchester United who sit a mere 70 odd places above Stones in the football pyramid. The lead up to this game drew unprecedented national (and international) media attention to Wealdstone, including a live broadcast from the club on BBC’s ‘Football Focus’ and cameras festooned around the Freebets.co.uk Stadium for MOTD and BT Sport, and a small army of journalists and Radio people.   The publicity surrounding the romance of the Cup had been…
