Wealdstone 4 Basingstoke Town 4 (Sat, 27 Feb 2016)

Match Reports
Match Report by Nick DuGard: Saturday, 27 February 2016: National League South: Wealdstone 4 Basingstoke Town 4 This was a hugely entertaining game for the neutrals in the 641 crowd but both management teams would have been pulling their hair out in frustration at respectivedefensive lapses. Stones came away from this breathless clash feeling the happier with a last gasp, added time, equaliser from Bradley Hudson-Odoi after they had effectively pushed four up in a desperate attempt to pull back the half time 1-3 deficit. Wealdstone have gone unbeaten in the month of February but with only one win and four draws. Again illustrating the tightness of the league placings this point was enough to lift Stones to 13th position but in a tenuous situation Wealdstone started brightly enough and took the lead after 6 minutes from a great 25 yard strike from…

Fans Launch “100:400” Playing Budget Fundraiser

Announcements
FANS LAUNCH ‘100:400’ PLAYING BUDGET FUNDRAISER Wealdstone FC Supporters Club are launching an important new fundraising scheme to support the playing budget for next season 2016/17 and provide additional funds in time for the vital end of season period. The 100:400 scheme has worked very successfully in previous seasons and this scheme will follow a similar plan and is even more relevant now that Stones are playing at a higher level of football. The Club is setting a fund raising target of £40,000 but we’d love to beat it!  This money will go directly into next season’s playing budget; 100:400 is a shorthand for saying we are challenging 100 people or more (there is no limit on numbers!) to pledge £400. However, the club is simply asking fans to pledge…

Weston-Super-Mare 1 Wealdstone 2 (Sat, 20 Feb 2016)

Match Reports
Match Report by Alan Hill: Saturday, 20 February 2016: National League South: Weston-super-Mare 1 Wealdstone 2 On a wet and windy day in North Somerset Stones held their nerve and deservedly grabbed all the points as they overcame The Seagulls 2-1 on a very soft and wet pitch at the Woodspring stadium. The weather had started out quite bright first thing, however as noon approached the light drizzle turned to persistent showers coupled with the wind up the Bristol Channel made it quite unpleasant to be out and about. A little inland at the Woodspring stadium the conditions were no better. With Wes Parker returning from the dead leg sustained at Maidenhead Utd Utd last Saturday Scott McGleish dropped to the bench and Marvin Morgan again started up front in…

Wealdstone 2 Oxford City 2 (Mon, 15 Feb 2016)

Match Reports
Match Report by Nick DuGard: Monday, 15 February 2016: National League South: Wealdstone 2 Oxford City 2 These are challenging times indeed for the management team at Wealdstone. Injury upon injury to the squad and myriad unavailability - all against the backdrop of juggling with a budget that most step 4 clubs would struggle to work with. But adversity is often the name of the game at Wealdstone and whilst not always entirely character building it certainly does focus the mind Monday night’s issues started at right back but Gordon Bartlett was probably more concerned with having a single centre-half with Wes Parker out of the reckoning so in came wily veteran Scott McLeish to fill an unfamiliar berth. In the event McGleish did wonderfully well using all his experience…

Supporters Club Coach to Truro City (Sat, 30 Apr 2016)

Away Travel
Although there are approximately 50 people travelling via Jez's organised trip including a flight and 2-nights hotel to Truro for the last game of the season, there may be supporters who would like to attend the game but would like to go and return on the same day.  The Supporters Club will be offering a coach service to Truro but because of the fact that the journey each way will take 6-7 hours, and there will be have to be 2 coach drivers, the cost of the trip is expensive. In order for it to run, we do need a minimum of 35 people to travel but if we do happen to fill a coach, we should be able to reduce the cost of travel accordingly. Please see below for…
