Announcements

This target is hugely important as it will help to plug the significant budget gap for next season as announced at the recent AGM. Progress so far is excellent but has slowed a little so we still need more donations and pledges to reach our target by the end of the current season! It’s very important that we keep the momentum going strongly and remember, this money is ring fenced and will be used solely for the playing budget for next season If you have made a pledge please do contact us to get information on how to convert to…

Wealdstone 4 Margate 1 (Sat, 26 Mar 2016)

Match Reports
Match Report by Nick DuGard: Saturday, 26 March 2016: National League South: Wealdstone 4 Margate 1 After an initially tense struggle between these two under pressure sides Wealdstone’s determination and battling spirit saw them through to an eventual very comfortable victory and three hugely valuable points, lifting them to 13th place in the National League South table This defeat for Margate was, remarkably, their sixth straight reverse and alarm bells must be well and truly ringing for the Kent club. Wealdstone 0 Sutton United 2 (Mon, 21 Mar 2016)

Match Reports
Match Report by Nick DuGard: Monday, 21 March 2016: National League South:  Wealdstone 0 Sutton United 2 These are dangerous times for Wealdstone who remain very much in a relegation dogfight – of that there can be no doubt. But against promotion contenders Sutton United on Monday evening the realities of the haves and have nots was all too stark and demonstrated the gulf in the strength of respective squads – and size of available budget.    Manager Gordon Bartlett not only has to contend with the current form of his squad now shorn of arguably its best midfield player but also has to balance the books as the squad is trimmed at a crucial time of the season when every point isdoubly precious. It is unreasonably defeatist to contemplate that this game was lost before a ball was kicked on Monday,…
