Wealdstone 1 St. Albans City 1 (Sat, 23 Apr 2016)

Match Reports
Match Report by Nick DuGard: Saturday, 23 April 2016: National League South: Wealdstone 1 St Albans City 1 Wealdstone gained the point that finally saw them fully mathematically safe whilst St Albans are not yet entirely out of danger, still looking over their shoulders even though they have been in great form recently. It was City that came out of the traps by far the brightest, playing with great energy and drive on the back on their recent and remarkable winning run. It only took 4 minutes for them to take the lead when the home side’s back line was pulled apart and Louie Theophaneous stole in to plant the ball wide of an exposed Jonathan North City piled on the pressure with Stones looking all over the place and…

Over the last few months much has been achieved and considerable work will continue over the coming few weeks, and into the close season. This is likely to result in changes to how the club is structured, funded and run. We will report further on news and developments as they happen. Strengthening the Board Following the appointment of Dominic Whyley to the Board at the end of December 2015, to bolster…

Wealdstone 0 Maidenhead United 0 (Sat, 16 Apr 2016)

Match Reports
Match Report by Nick DuGard: Saturday, 16 April 2016: National League South: Wealdstone 0 Maidenhead United 0 Wealdstone proudly introduced the Amateur Cup winning side of 1966 to the 800 strong crowd before the match, this being the 50th anniversary season of that memorable triumph at Wembley. A special celebratory lunch had also been held prior to the match There were no such heights of glory for Stones in this rather tame encounter but it was  memorable for the brilliant performance of keeper Jonathan North who, now back to his cat like best, brought off four outstanding saves. And the resulting point for the home side has now all but made their season safe but in the process has probably killed off Maidenhead’s chances of making the play-offs. The first…
