Wealdstone have signed utility player Tommy Brewer from Evo-Stick(Southern)outfit Bedfont Town FC and comes highly recommended following some very strong performances for the Peacocks last season. The versatile Brewer has also played for Crawley Town FC where he was released by former Manager Steve Evans in the summer of 2011.

Wealdstone Manager Gordon Bartlett reported this week that goal keeper Jonathan North is continuing to make good progress following the horrific leg injury he sustained during a Ryman League match at Canvey Island last March, suffering clean breaks of the tibia and fibula bones. Said Gordon: ' Jonathan is progressing very well; he is now walking without crutches and will be starting work with the physio at Watford FC this week - we are extremely grateful for the use of the facilities over there'. North, recently named as one of the whole of non-league's top 20 stoppers by the Non League Paper, hopes to be back in training by the end of the year. Wealdstone FC have received three League awards in the past seven days, meaning that the club have received a total of five special accolades this season. The Stones collected two awards from the Isthmian League on Saturday evening at an event in Brighton. Richard Jolly won the Golden Boot as the league's top scorer and the club won the prestigious Barry East Award that is given to the Club that has brought the greatest acclaim to the league for the past season. Wealdstone FC sports therapist James Smith has launched a unique way to raise money for his 8 year old nephew Sam. Sam was born with quadraplegic Cerebral Palsy, which means he is restricted to a wheelchair to get him around. He has had 11 major operations in his short life and his bravery is immense. (more…)
