Fan Zone

Fan Zones are back for 2026, starting with the visit of Man City for the Carabao Cup Final on Sunday 22nd March.

These are great fundraisers for the Club and there is always a vibrant friendly atmosphere and plenty of football chat. Thank you to everyone who already helps out but with their popularity growing, we do need more assistance so that we can provide a better experience and extended BBQ opening times.

If you are able to help out for an hour or two, a morning, afternoon or evening or the whole day, fill in the contact form below and we will add you to the Fan Zone helpers WhatsApp group. This is not a commitment to volunteer but allows us to keep you up to date with Fan Zone dates and opportunities to volunteer.

We have put together a guide below to the ‘what makes a Fan Zone happen’ to give a better idea of how you can help out.

Preparation (Pre Fan Zone day)

In the week leading up to the event, we need to;

  • Clean the BBQs / Chip Fryer
  • Check Gas Bottles
  • Check and Replenish Stock Levels (Burgers, Sausages, Bacon, Chips, Cheese, Rolls, Sauces, etc)
  • Buy Balloons and Ribbons
 
Then the day before, we need to;
 
  •  Buy Food / Gas
  • Put together Balloon Arch and put up Balloons and Ribbons

Fan Zone Day (Pre Fan Arrival)

  • Put up the customised welcome board at the entrance
  • Organise the serving area, (put out BBQs, Tables, Sauces, Price Lists, Water Boilers, Security Barriers, etc)
  • Chop Onions

Fan Zone Day (Fan Arrival)

  • Checking in vehicles against booking list
  • Directing vehicles to parking spaces
  • Directing coaches and minibuses to parking spaces
  • Cooking Burgers, Sausages and Bacon
  • Cooking Chips
  • Cooking Onions
  • Making Tea and Coffee
  • Assembling Burgers
  • Bringing Chips and food items from the kitchen out to the BBQ
  • Taking Orders
  • Taking Cash and Card Payments
  • General Assistance keeping the BBQ area clean
  • Selling Raffle or 50/50 tickets
  • Clearing up and cleaning 
 
Of course if you would just like to come down, have a drink and chat with some of visiting fans you are just as welcome.
