Thanks to Watford FC and Hornets fans Paul Holden and Micheal Schogger, Wealdstone have secured a fantastic electronic scoreboard that had become surplus to requirements at Vicarage Road.

The scoreboard is relatively new and in excellent condition and was being removed due to demolition work going on at the Championship club’s ground. With the close association between both clubs Wealdstone were able to secure the 15ft wide x 6ft high board and are now looking to set it it up at a suitable location at The Vale.

Said Wealdstone FC President Paul Rumens: ‘ We are tremendously grateful to Watford FC and to Paul and Michael for making this possible and it will further enhance the match day experience at The Vale once installed. I am looking for sponsors for the board and would welcome enquiries’

It is hoped that the scoreboard will be installed very soon, possibly on the Ruislip Social Club side of the ground at The Vale.
