Supporters Club Chairman, David Albert writes in Monday’s matchday programme for the home match against Hampton & Richmond Borough.

We extend the usual cordial welcome to all supporters from Hampton and Richmond who are attending tonight’s game. We hope you enjoy the game and have a safe journey home.

Last Sunday evening, the Supporters Club held their second Bingo evening of the season in the main hall at Ruislip Social Club. Although the attendance was low, those who came had a very enjoyable evening. I quite enjoy hosting these evenings and acting as the Bingo Caller. We are hoping to persevere with Bingo on a Sunday evening and the next one looks like will take place on the last Sunday in November. Watch this space for further details.

Last season, we held our Supporters Club AGM on the same evening as the main club’s AGM and it has been decided to do this again this season and therefore we are pleased to announce that the Supporters Club AGM will be held in the Aquarium Bar of the Ruislip Social Club at 8pm on Thursday, 29th November and this will be followed by the main club’s AGM. This will be your chance of voicing your opinion on club matters to both the Supporters Club and main club and it should be a very interesting evening.

Let’s hope that we were successful on Saturday in our FA Trophy tie at Merstham and I was pleased to hear from Supporters Club Secretary, Clive Leaper that the all seats on the Supporters Club coach to this match were taken. We are pleased that so many supporters are making use of the coach service to away matches. Over the last couple of seasons, we have had very favourable comments about the coach service that we run and we will continue to run coaches to matches when we expect there will be many supporters travelling.

One of the major success stories of recent years at Wealdstone Football Club has been our Supporters Club Shop which we can now proudly say really is a MEGASTORE. The new shop located on the half-way line has to be one of the best club shops in non league football and is the result of many months of hard work from particularly Adam Edwards and Mark Randall. Please make an effort to visit the Megastore. By purchasing something from the megastore or ordering online at www.wfcmegastore.co.uk site you are really helping the club financially. The store is still filled with a wide range of interesting items, big and small, and now that the clocks have gone back which normally results in the winter weather drawing in, we have a wide range of hats, scarves, gloves – everything to keep your extremities from getting frozen!

Golden Goal Tickets will be on sale today and will be available from Miriam who will be standing inside the ground as you pass through the turnstiles and cost £1 each. Supporters have the opportunity to win £50 if their ticket matches the time of the first goal scored and £10 if their ticket matches the time of the last goal scored. The times of the first and last goals of each match are announced on the public address system by Bappo Therefore if supporters do not check their ticket during the match, they have the opportunity to check the website and see if they have the winning ticket. Miriam stands by the turnstile at full time to check tickets and distribute prize-money to Golden Goal ticket winners. At the last home match of the season against Ramsgate in the Ryman League Cup, the £50 prize was unclaimed but Stones supporter, Tony Waller claimed the £10 prize.
