Wealdstone came from behind to seal a league and cup double over Carshalton Athletic on Tuesday as the sides met for the second time in four days.
It was the home side who started the brighter of the two teams, with Hakeem Adelakun coming close early on with a free kick which hit the side netting.
It was Adelakun who gave his side the lead on 28 minutes, as he lofted free kick into the box from 45 yards which deceived Haxhia in the Wealdstone goal and found its way into the back of the net.
Carshalton continued to press forward after the goal, and Haxhia made amends for the goal as he bravely blocked an attempt from Pinney as he bore down on goal.
Wealdstone were able to level the tie on the hour mark, Shabazz Baidoo breaking into the box before squaring the ball to Alex Dyer who made no mistake from close range.
Stones were now having the better of the encounter, and Athletic ‘keeper Hamann did well to hold onto a header from Sean Cronin following an Alex Dyer corner.
A second goal did eventually come for the visitors, with Lee Chappell curling home a delightful free kick from 20 yards to seal a second win in four days for the in form Stones.
