It is the turn of Supporters Club Secretary, Clive Leaper to write in the matchday programme from Saturday’s 1-1 draw against Corby Town in the FA Trophy. His article appears below.

Welcome along to this highly anticipated FA trophy match today. To those that have made the journey from Northamptonshire we trust you enjoy your brief visit and travel back safely. We were having a pub debate about who travelled furthest over a season to watch the Stones, El P

residente and Young Sam certainly could be contenders from Northampton we also know of Somerset, the West Country and Wales along with Sheffield as outposts of our far flung support. Wherever you’re currently living please keep up to date with all things Wealdstone via our WFCSC.co.uk website. If you’ve moved please let us have your new email address, at this time of year we try to contact all to advise them of the AGM details. This year it’s 29th November and will be followed by the main club AGM. If you’d like to become a member of the supporters’ club then annual and life memberships are available online or via the excellent wfc megastore. A busy time for the fellas that give up so much of their time to make this the triumph of non- league that it is, what with the Christmas rush about to start. Please order any Macron items this month so we can ensure they arrive before the big day and therefore avoid tears and tantrums! Mark Randall of megastore fame has found time in amongst all his club commitments including opening up the store on some Sundays now ( check forum and website for details) to give Wealdstone another new supporter. Baby Charlotte joins brother Freddie as the best dressed kids around bedecked in Wealdstone kiddie clothes from their ever thoughtful God father, Adam Edwards. Congratulations Mark.

This being Remembrance weekend the football club have been working with the local British Legion in Eastcote to sell poppies and have arranged for a wreath to be placed on the memorial stone in Eastcote by one of our supporter’s and ex service man, Darrell Bennett. If you are able to come along to this ceremony you’ll be very welcome. Poppies available in our club house.

Golden Goals, the fund raising chance to win £50 with the time of the first goal and £10 for the time of the last continues to make people happy. Congrat’s to Ginge  and to Tony Drew for their success at our recent game v Hampton and Richmond..as if winning the match wasn’t good enough! A brief mention that we’ve got more fun family bingo coming up in a couple of weeks time on Sunday 25th. All events are now also to be found on twitter@RuislipSC.

Train travel to Lowestoft is being arranged for those hardy souls that can manage a 3 hour journey from Liverpool st. Knowing the town has now 5 Camra award winning pubs now helps though I guess! We’re on the 09.00 departure, please check out the forum for more details or get in contact through : secretary@wfcsc.co.uk

Mentioning long train journeys takes me nicely back to the start of this set of notes. Once again thanks for your support.

 Up The Stones.  Clive
