Ramone Rose signs for Stones

Wealdstone have signed striker Ramone Rose from Newport County AFC for whom he last played in the FA Trophy final last season.

22 year old Rose has been unattached so far this season and is now looking to kick start his career with the Stones who have long established an enviable record of promoting young players careers 

Rose began his career as a trainee with Queens Park Rangers and was a member of the Rangers’ under-18 team that won the Youth Alliance League title in 2007. He made his first team debut for QPR as a second half substitute against West Bromwich Albion on 4 May 2008.

After being loaned to Conference side Histon he returned to Rangers and on 13 January 2009 playing as a substitute (for Gavin Mahon) as Rangers lost 2–1 after extra time away to Burnley in the FA Cup.

Rose spent loan periods at Northampton Town, Cheltenham Town and Torquay United making his debut for The Gulls on 23 October in a 1–1 draw at Gillingham.

After his release from QPR, Rose joined Thai club Muangthong United but in January 2012, Rose joined Newport County on non-contract terms and having appeared against the Stones in the semi’s he played in the FA Trophy Final at Wembley Stadium last May.
