It is the turn of Supporters Club General Secretary to write the Supporters Club Notes for the matchday programme for Saturday’s home game against Concord Rangers. These notes are reproduced below.

Welcome along one and all to today’s game. Here’s hoping for another fine footballing feast to be served up for our enjoyment. As we approach this stage of the season every game becomes massive, our support plays a part in this. The cliché of being the 12 man was certainly true for our trip to Whitehawk last weekend. Plenty has been written already about this on the forum but to those that were there –and especially those that travelled on the WFCSC double decker, we salute you. We would like to organise something to almost every away game, this does take an enormous amount of time and effort and we are fortunate in that we now have a dedicated travel secretary in Jez Albert to do this for us.

It’s always nice to have some good news to announce and so it is that the birth of Adam’s girl on Sunday is a reason to raise a glass. The Edward’s family are one of the staunchest Stones stronghold’s that I know. It’s fairly safe to assume that young Eleanor will carry on the family tradition. In between nappy changes I hope that Adam can still find some time to continue his fine work in the mega store.

The recent re launch of the life membership scheme has resulted in our membership secretary supremo, Seth Dalton, being kept busy. Seth’s overhauled the package bringing lots of benefits which include different discounts in the megastore and for away trips together with regular email news releases to keep up to date with the latest Wealdstone news, essential for any self- respecting Stones fan join today!

Mim and her Golden Goals continue to provide an opportunity to see if you can turn a pound into £50 by picking out the lucky first goal time. If you haven’t tried this before then please consider that it does raise a steady sum through the season to help our great club continue to move forward. As you can appreciate we need to look at any (legal) way that anyone can suggest or get involved with that will hopefully make an amount ,large or small, towards the figure needed not only to sustain us at this level today but for our future tomorrows. An example of this will be our catering operation on the 24th March when we host Wrexham fans as their watering hole en route to Wemb-er-ley for the FA Trophy final.

As supporters of this club we not only try to raise money but also offer help where and when we can, we have a fair idea of the jobs skills that lots of our fans can turn their hand to, we are always glad to hear of others stepping forward. One great development on this front is the recent appeal for help with ditch and drainage work has produced a knight in shining armour in the shape of Darrell Bennett who is committing a large amount of manpower to help us in April. As ever there’s still always something for everyone to get involved in to play your part as we strive for the successful finish line this season, here’s the details if you want to get involved in any of the issues you’ve just read about:
