LONDON, England (09.12.15) – Vanarama are delighted to announce that the winner of the Vanarama Conference South Player of the Month award for Jonathan North of Wealdstone.

On the announcement of the award Jonathan said, “‘I am absolutely delighted to win this award and it was a great month for the whole team. Great credit is due to the back four, midfield and all the team who have turned things around. Hopefully we can go on and have another successful month and really build on the results achieved.”

Stones boss Gordon Bartlett added, “’I am delighted for Jonathan, his award is thoroughly deserved and recognition for the heroics he has performed over recent weeks. He is a genuinely lovely lad, whose attitude and application to recovery from a serious injury a couple of seasons ago is testament to his character. His determination to overcome that difficult period of his career is a shining example to any young player. I have always considered him a top class goalkeeper but he has pushed those boundaries even further this year. He is a credit to himself, his family and the club”

The official awards panel said, “His club may have not got their just results early in the season but December has been a great month for The Stones and in particular their talented goalkeeper. Jon has performed really well to ensure the club has picked up points throughout the month. and even though injured in the pre match warm up against Sutton United on Boxing Day, he braved injury to help the club draw that match. Well deserving indeed.

Congratulations Jonathan North of Wealdstone on winning this award and we wish him the very best for the rest of the season.
