PAOLO DI CANIO MAKES APPEARANCE AT WEALDSTONE!
On Tuesday of this week Wealdstone was visited by Italian legend Paolo Di Canio.
Thanks to connections via Wealdstone’s Italy based fan Matteo Tonna the club was recently contacted by Fox Sports Italy who have the rights to the FA Cup.
Fox wanted to film a promo for the Cup Final and were planning to do some filming at Wembley and the Emirates and also wanted to come to a non league club to show where the FA competition starts.
The Fox Sports football star for their English coverage is ex Sunderland and Swindon Manager Di Canio and he came down to The Vale to front the filming on The Vale’s pitch.
Wealdstone’s Assistant Manager Leo Morris was later presented with a signed Di Canio Lazio shirt for display in the clubhouse before the crew left for Wembley Stadium.
