Gordon Bartlett Signs New Contract

 

Wealdstone FC is delighted to announce that Gordon Bartlett, who enters a remarkable 21st year in charge of the Stones this campaign, has signed a new two year contract.

 

Wealdstone Chairman Howard Krais said: \’I\’m delighted that Gordon has committed himself to the Club for the next two years. His track record is second to none and I have seen time and time again how many players are attracted to Wealdstone simply because of Gordon Bartlett. The respect for Gordon throughout the game is totally deserved. He is a pleasure to work with, a true Wealdstone legend and I look forward to continue driving the Club forward with Gordon for years to come\’

 

Gordon joined Wealdstone in June 1995 having previously had successful spells as Manager of Yeading, Hounslow and Southall. He is an UEFA \’A\’ licence holder and has included amongst his coaching roles that of F.A. tutor assessor and Middlesex County Coach. As a Manager, he has had Cup success, leading both Southall and Yeading to F.A. Vase Finals at Wembley, and numerous County Cup finals. Since joining Wealdstone he has guided them to four promotions and has achieved major success in moving players into the professional ranks. Gordon is a School Teacher and he was a player with Portsmouth, Denver Dynamos (USA) Brentford, Slough Town and Hayes

Stones sign Chairboys \’Keeper Alex Lynch on Loan

Wealdstone have today agreed a loan deal with League Two side Wycombe Wanderers to take their goalkeeper Alex Lynch. Regular Stones \’keeper Jon North is currently recovering from injury.

20 year old professional Lynch recently played against Stones in a pre-season friendly and he appeared for the Chairboys in their run to the League Two play-off finals last season

Three more sign for Stones on eve of season

Former Stevenage striker Connor Calcutt and defenders Matt Bevans, previously at Oxford United and Ryan Case who has played for Bournemouth and Basingstoke have signed forms for Wealdstone.

All three players have been training with the Stones during the pre season and will now be available for the Vanarama National League South opener at Bath on Saturday
