A very good evening and welcome to Margate players, officials and supporters for the replay game in the FA Trophy. We trust they have a pleasant visit and safe journey home. Having had the Supporters Club coach journey to Kent just a few days ago we hope the journey is traffic jam free.
Those fans that travelled down to Margate enjoyed a brief few hours there as we crammed in the sights along the sea front prior to our arrival at the ground.
The Supporters Club try to organise travel to away games where and when we can. This is one of the aims that we wish to provide. It is reliant on people using this
mode of travel though. We understand that some prefer to make their way there independantly however talk to those that did come along and maybe consider it another time this season.
This saturday whilst the first team is in action at Billericay there’s a big local event taking place that Wealdstone will be represented at. The Ruislip Manor Xmas lights are switched on by the Mayor amidst a host of family friendly sideshows and stalls along the Victoria road. The Club have a stall positioned nicely on the corner with Shenley Avenue. We’ll be promoting the Club ,raising awareness of all the things that go on on the football front and at the Ruislip Social Club. It’s a great way of raising the profile to local people and runs rom midday to 6pm. If anyone who isn’t going to Billericay fancies coming along to give a hand for a bit then they’d be very welcome. Giving out leaflets and just telling those interested about the many things now happening every single day of the year is the general idea!
Supporters wondering when the AGM meeting is should have received their notice by now. The date has been set as Wednesday 23rd November and includes a Q & A session with our Club Chairman Howard Krais. Last year there was also the opportunity to quiz Gordon Bartlett, we’re hopeful that again this will take place.(awaiting confirmation- He’s a busy man). The evening starts at 7.30pm and is always enlightening. Please get in touch if you have any questions. We’ve a new email address specifically for all Wealdstone related correspondence: WealdstoneFCSC@hotmail.co.uk
One further web address you should all make a note of is the www.wfcmegastore.co.uk site. Filled with items of interest big and small with new things always being added. Is it too early to be starting to think of Xmas pressies? If so then you should be turning your attention at least to the change in the weather and ensuring that you have winter warmer type clothing. Hats, scarves, gloves – everything to keep your extremities from getting frozen! On that cheerful note, Enjoy the game tonight, Up The Stones.
