Two talented young players have agreed to sign for Stones this week.
Attacking midfielder Jack Hutchison appeared for Wingate and Finchley last season in the Ryman Premier and won their Young Player of the Season accolade. Jack has previously had experience with Barnet FC under 18s and signed for Wingate from Southern League Northwood last year.
Jerome Okimo, a defender/left sided midfield, was with Chalfont St Peter last season and has recently been catching the attention of several professional clubs culminating in a series of trials with League One Colchester United last season. He won Chalfont’s Player’s Player and Supporter’s Player of the Year Awards last season.
Wealdstone Manager Gordon Bartlett said: ‘These are two very good young players. We have previously had great success with signing young, up and coming players – we took Richard Jolly when he was an 18 year old – and we are doing as we have done previously at Wealdstone to everyone’s benefit’
Bartlett added ‘The rest of last year’s squad all want to stay with us and we are looking forward to the start of pre-season training in two week’s time’.
