Wealdstone have signed 21 year old creative midfielder Matt Ball from Vanarama Conference South rivals Farnborough for a small undisclosed transfer fee.

The Northern Ireland U21 international is a product of Norwich City’s youth team, he joined the club at the age of 12. He captained the Academy side during the
2010/11 season and his step up to the reserves was rewarding as the midfielder found the net 8 times in 14 games.

Ball signed for League Two side Stevenage prior to the 2012/13 season and in February 2013 he secured a one-month loan move to Farnborough.

After a loan spell at Farnborough last season, the youngster made his debut for the pro ranks at Swindon Town in April 2013, coming on as a 75th minute sub. He
then made his first start against MK Dons in the final game of the season.

He has had two loan spells with Boro, the latest starting from January 2014 and lasting until the end of the 2013/14 season.

Ball left Stevenage at the end of the 2013/14 season and signed for Farnborough in August 2014 following an impressive return to the Hampshire club in pre-
season. He scored twice against Wealdstone in the Conference South clash at The Vale earlier this season.
