Supporters Club Programme Notes by Alan Palmer

Good afternoon and a warm welcome to The Vale to all the players, officials and supporters from Hayes & Yeading Utd for today’s game.

Today will be the fourth time that the sides have met this season and its sure to be another close encounter as like Gordon Phil Babb looks to take his side to a position of mid table security in what is a very competitive league.

The main talking point around the club at the moment is the Eastbourne equalizer last Saturday.

Most people now accept that the ball somehow went through the side netting.

Everyone will have their own take on it but goal or no goal we have to move on and ensure that we continue to build on our unbeaten league  run which stretches al l the way back to early November.

Last Saturday saw the supporters club organize another coach trip this time down to Eastbourne.

Looking at the up and coming fixtures this was will be the last coach trip that Jez will have  to organize for a while as we now have a run of local away games that are very close to home.

The work that Jez puts into making sure these trips go smoothly can’t be under estimated.

As i write these notes Jez informs me that the supporters club will be running a coach to Havant and Waterlooville on 14th March. Details will follow mid February.

During your visit to The Vale today can I recommend two things to you.

The Rollin’ Kitchen continues to receive great praise from all that use it. Without doubt the best food served up anywhere in the Conference South league.

Today’s special at £7 is top side beef with all the trimmings. Sounds good to me.

As well as the great food at Wealdstone we also have a fantastic megastore.

Whether its clothing, programmes or Raider related items Adam And Mark will sort it for you.

A special mention for Terry Hissey who has spent countless hours sorting through programmes.

Discounts are available on bulk purchases.

As always please remember to purchase your Golden Goals tickets from Mim.

As i sign off a quick word about our gates.

During what started off as a very difficult campaign we are currently averaging an astonishing 716 for every league game.

Only Ebbsfleet & Bromley can boast a higher average.

Let’s all get behind the team today and make some real noise in what is a very important match.

How loudly can we sing “All I care about is Wealdstone FC?”

Up the Stones!   Alan.
