FANS OF USA MAJOR SOCCER LEAGUE CLUB LINK UP WITH WEALDSTONE

The Wealdstone FC Supporters Club are pleased to announce that they now have an official branch of Wealdstone FC in North America.

Fans of Major Soccer League Club Philadelphia Union known as The Sons of Ben Supporters Group have linked up with the Wealdstone FC supportersinitially via exposure to the world wide popularity of the Wealdstone Raider

Ian Conklin current President of the KeyStone Royals, the Wealdstone FC Supporters Club of North America said I started the KeyStone Royals with Zach Stein, who is our co-founder/vice-president for Wealdstone FC Supporters living in the US.

We carefully chose the name by combining the clubs nickname “Stones” and “Royals,” with our state’s emblem/moniker the “Keystone.” Our first exposure to Wealdstone FC was the “Wealdstone Raider” video on YouTube. Gordon Hill’s passion is what made us research more into Wealdstone FC, and its Supporters Group. What we saw from the condensed matches, was the same grassroots passion that personifies what the Sons of Ben Supporters Group is for the Philadelphia Union. We also saw how the Wealdstone players play with that same grit and tenacity that we have here with the Philadelphia Union.

We knew we needed to reach out to the club, and see if there was a way we could be the voice of the club and its supporters from across the pond. Our goal is to be another extension for Wealdstone FC, bring even more exposure to the club, and bring even more supporters into the family. We are so proud to be a part of this club, the culture, and its passionate supporters. Thank you to all who have welcomed us into the family so far via Twitter, and you can follow us @KeyStoneRoyals. Watch for updates about our website launching in the near future’

David Albert Chairman of WFCSC said: ‘We are absolutely delighted towelcome the Keystone Royals into the Wealdstone family and we look forward to some exchange visits – it’s very exciting to have this stateside link up!
