Good afternoon to one and all.

Here we are having an early 1pm kick-off on Boxing Day!  I hope that you all have recovered enough from yesterday’s festivities to enjoy today’s fare.

I am writing these notes having just read that Barnet were beaten 6-2 at home by Concord Rangers in their FA Trophy replay.  It appears that they had some of their youths playing – either they thought that they would win easily or they did not really care about progressing in the Trophy.  Arrogant or short-sighted,   I’ll leave that for you to decide.  Meanwhile we look forward to hosting Bath City on the 10th January in the 2nd round of the same competition, of which we love to be a part.

Have you got some Christmas money burning a hole in your pocket?  The Megastore might have just what you want.  There is the 2015 Calendar for only £5, some new mug designs also at £5 each, scarves, hats and gloves if you are feeling the chill and numerous leisure tops. Remember that the Megastore now accepts card payments!  No need to have items put by until you have the cash. Drop in and see what’s on offer!  Alternatively you can peruse their website www.wfcmegastore.co.uk

As per usual on a match day, I shall be selling Golden Goal tickets (there is one for every 30 seconds and a nil-nil) at the entrance to the ground for £1 a “go”. The holder of the ticket with the time of the first goal will win £50, and that with the time of the last goal will win £10 (unless there is only 1 goal).  Prizes can be claimed from me at the end of the match in the Megastore, behind the dugouts.  The details of the winning time(s) are also shown on our website www.wfcsc.co.uk and posted on the forum so you can also claim at the next home match if you discover a golden ticket in your pocket/wallet.

Let us get behind the lads today, whichever end we are, and cheer them on to victory. “All I care about is Wealdstone FC”
